Policies and Pricing
Please read, re-read and memorize the “Ten Commandments for Swim Team Parents”. You are the parents of a competitive swimmer. It is important to remember that your actions today will impact your swimmer’s growth and development both as an individual and as an athlete for many years to come. Will it have a positive or negative impact?
Expectations of parents during morning swim practice:
- Please be on time!
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday we start promptly at 7:00 a.m. We will respect your valuable time and have your swimmer(s) ready for pick-up by 8:05 a.m.
- Tuesday and Thursday will start promptly at 7:00 a.m. but will include the optional drylands in the park. Your swimmer will either be picked up promptly at 8:05 or be ready after drylands at 8:20 a.m.
- Please go for a walk or sit and read on the benches. No parents will be allowed on deck during practice.
- If you have any questions or concerns about your swimmer, please e-mail your swimmer’s coach to schedule a conference time. Morning practice time is specifically focused on our swimmers’ racing techniques and refining their strokes. Please honor this request.
Expectations of parents during swim meets:
- Please be on time!!!
- You have 3 C roles: to chauffeur, be chef, and be a cheerleader- CHEER, CHEER, CHEER!!
- Please let the officials and coaches do their jobs.
- One parent of each family is expected to volunteer for at least two swim meets
- Bring plenty of water, healthy snacks, and sunscreen for your swimmer.
- Please send your swimmer(s) to the designated Dallas Dolfins team area with their gear 15 minutes before warm- ups are scheduled to begin.
- If you have any concerns about your swimmer’s performance during a meet, please schedule a time by e-mail to talk with your swimmer’s coach. (not within earshot of your swimmer)
- Final results will be sent to you following the meet.
Pricing for Swim Team will be coming by May 1st, 2011.
