We want all of our students to receive their lessons at their scheduled class time, so we do not encourage make-ups. Our instructors are here waiting for you at your scheduled time and making sure your class is the best possible environment for your child! However, if you must miss a class, please see the following:
The pools at our brand-new swimming facilty are maintained at a tropical 90 degree temperature year round, and are equipped with a state-of-the art sanitation system which allows your child to swim in a sparkling clean pool without red eyes or itchy skin. In order to maintain the appearance and welcoming atmosphere of our facility, the following are not permitted on the DSS premises: smoking, alcohol, glass containers, pets, and profanity. Our insurance requires a responsible adult to remain on the DSS premises for the entirety of the lesson. Parents can watch their swimmer's classes in our comfortable viewing area located directly above the pool deck.
In the interest of the health and safety of all students in our program, Dolfin Swim School requires all swimmers under the age of 3.5 and children who are not fully potty trained to wear two (2) swim diapers--one permanent swim diaper and one disposable swim diaper. All swimmers 3.5 yrs. old and younger must be double diapered to take a swim lesson at Dolfin Swim School. Please note that if a child has a fecal accident and was not wearing both swim diapers, you will be permanently excused from the program and no refund or credit will be given for remaining lessons.
If you have a play group of friends that would like to take swimming together, please notify the office as to which class you prefer. We will change that class into your very own Pod Squad class reserved just for your friends. You will receive registration preference!
In the event that a group class is scheduled and there are two (2) or less students in the class, please understand you might be required to switch times to properly fill classes. If you wish to stay in the time slot after management informs of the need for movement, you will be required to pay for the rate of private or semi-private lessons.
Before beginning lessons, all swimmers must have a Medical Information and Release form on file. This information will be shared ONLY with the people directly responsible for a swimmer's care. To best serve our special needs and spcial care swimmers, our Staff must be made aware of as much information as possible to properly care for the swimmer. This can be done by filling out the Medical Information and Release Form, and by verbally communicating with our staff. Parents and/or gaurdians should inform DSS staff of any health concerns that arise after lessons have begun.
